Following the launch of the new look Norville website in 2007 I have been updating the text on the site to, hopefully, be more useful and informative. Whether it's ideas on current styles of frames, information on contact lenses, or what new developments there are in spectacle lenses there is information that should prove useful.
One of our Dispensing Opticians, Adrian Street, (also MD and Dursley Practice manager) is hoping to raise money for Gloucestershire County Association for the Blind through selling his amateur photographs in his first exhibition through a Dursley Town Council scheme. See here for more info.
We've been a little too coy up to now to shout about our contact lens prices but it is about time we pointed out that we are cheaper than online retailers on major brands of contact lenses. I don't even think that most of our existing customers realise this so well have we hidden this little light under our bushel. But now you can see for yourself the price of all our disposable contact lenses and see how much money you could save. We're even trialling online ordering so that wherever you are in the country you can benefit from our fantastic value.
Have a look at the Spectacle Lens page, for instance. Here there as well as information about bifocal and varifocal lenses, you can also read about enhanced reading lenses designed for office use and reflection free coatings that allow more light to pass through the lens.
The varifocal FAQ should try and answer any queries that you may have about varifocal lenses. See this page for information on who to see to get your varifocal lenses.
Most people have some sort of hobby or sporting activity that they participate in on a regular basis. If you require spectacles there are specific types of frames or lenses that can help you in your activity whether it is playing music, cycling, shooting or golf. Take a look at the Sport and Leisure page to find out more. At the end of 2009 I did my first ever international dispense to a person in India who couldn't get hold of prescription swimming goggles in his country after he had seen the information on our site.
Orthoscopics is a new way to help a wide variety of conditions from dyslexia, to autism, to migraine and even speech or hearing difficulties. When it works the results are astounding as can be seen in the accounts of these case histories. Take a look at the Orthoscopics page for more information.
Take a look at our Special Offers page too; we've got a great deal on polaroid sunspecs. Without a prescription these stylish glare reducing sunspecs are only £49.00 and we can put prescription polarised lenses in at a great price too. Also read about our extremely flexible half price second pair offer.
Continuing on the subject of Polaroid. You can now get these fantastic sunglasses online at www.fnd-sunglasses.co.uk

I am still in the process of updating the information on the pages that are here. Then I will be looking to add more useful information to the site. If there is anything more that you would find useful to know when considering your eyecare with Norville's then please let me know.
